Glossary


Here is a list of abbreviations and English terms commonly used in the game.

Fire/Lightning/Frost/Poison Resistance – the degree to which a Character is resistant to attacks using a specific type of magic.

Mana – magical energy required to cast spells during combat.

Energy – a resource used by Characters to perform special physical attacks.

Exhaustion – the number of minutes during which experience points can be earned from fighting monsters. Exhaustion is granted daily at 5:00 AM and amounts to 360 minutes. Exhaustion decreases while you are logged into the game (it does not decrease while Character is in a city).

Changelog – a history of changes made to the Game.

Event – an occurrence in the world of Margonem that lasts for a predetermined period of time.

EXP – experience points.

Item – an object or piece of equipment in the Game.

Level, Lvl – a Character's level.

Ban – the suspension of access to the Game and the Margonem forum for a specific IP address for a set period due to severe violations of the Game rules or player etiquette.

Account Suspension – the suspension of access to the game and the Margonem forum for a specific Account due to violations of the Game rules or player etiquette.

Kill – the killing of a Player Character for a specified number of minutes by a GM as a punishment.

Forum Mute / Gag – the restriction of access to the Margonem forum for a specific account.

Multi-Account – use of multiple Accounts.

Mute – the temporary restriction of access to the public Chat for a specified number of hours due to inappropriate behavior.

NPC – Non-Player Character - monsters, animals, and static characters controlled by the game.

Account Credentials (Pass) – information used to log into an Account, usually a username and password.

PvP – Player versus Player, a type of gameplay in which players can fight directly against one another.

Skill Set (UM) – a set of skills assigned to a Character.

Battle Set – a combination of equipment and skills that a Player can switch between with a single click.
